To start off my personal investigation unit I decided to gather photos I'd saved that I liked and look at what it is about them that I like.

This poster is looking at photos with interesting composition.
I'd seen a lot of pictures of public transport that I liked so I decided to collect some of them. The main reason I liked these images is due to the florescent lighting; the cold glow that it gives off reflects the silence and lack of eye contact between passengers, the loneliness of being surrounded by people whom you may never see again or meet. I really like the photos from inside the train because trains follow a linear path and there is little control over where to go compared to a bus, taxi, bike ect. I like this because if you look out the windows it's like a film of the journey you make whilst riding on the train.
I then started choosing specific images that I liked and tried to think of key words to do with why I liked them. I thought this would be a good way to get ideas flowing in my head for project ideas.
