2) Holiday Shoot

Theses are some photos I took whilst I was on holiday in St.Ives, Cornwall

Camera: 1100D // 18-55mm

I really like the colour, composition and mood of this image.

I feel this image has a good use of rule of thirds.

I really like the lighting in this image

I took this image on the train and I really like the silhouette of myself and my girlfriend looking out the window. I feel this has lots of depth as it's almost 2 images in one; the photo outside the train and the reflection off the window. I feel this image can be interpreted to have a narrative, to me it's a photo of me and my girlfriend going on holiday, but to someone who doesn't know us it can be interpreted in different ways. Someone else could interpret this as a couple who have fallen out on a train journey and are sitting away from each other because of it. Us both looking out the window can be a representation of us having different opinions on the same thing, we're both looking at the same place but seeing it in different ways. I like how the sign is blurred which takes away an identity of the location of the photo, this is another factor I like which goes well with the viewer not knowing who the subjects are. I also like the blurriness of the image due to the train's high speed. I think this gives the image more mystery as you can't see any of the detail in the scenery.

These next three images work really well as a set. They were taken when we went out during a thunderstorm. Because it was late at night

This is definitely one of my favorite images from the shoot. I feel the viewers attention is being sucked the dark area further down the path. I also feel that the composition of the trees and plants also point the viewer into the dark shadows of the image. I think this photo can be seen in two different ways depending on the type of person who is viewing it; one person may be interested in what's further up the path and would want to explore the area if they could. Another person may be comfortable or prefer to leave what's further up the path as a mystery, they prefer the anonymous factor to the image.

This photo is taken from about where you can see up to from the previous image.

I took this photo whilst on a boat trip to an island nearby St.Ives. I really liked the couples

This photo was also taken on the boat trip. I feel the glimmer off the water gave the image a magical fantasy feel/dreamy/nostalgic look.
